Mr. Mac, Superintendent

As we close another school I can not help but say thank you to all the parents of our students. It is a privilege for us to have the opportunity to work along side of you in developing your children to their full potential. I am often in conversation with other superintendents and am surprised at their headaches. We have great kids, and yes a few headaches but I would not trade them for any others.
On April 24th we opened numerous bids for our new facility. These bids came in extremely high, we are working diligently on this project and completing the facility correctly is our most important objective. The end of this month we will begin the building process, there will be a lot of working going on the entire summer. I would remind all of us that there will be people in town that are unknown, so it is always better to error on the side of safety. I wish you all the very best and Thank you for a very enjoyable year.
Also a reminder that Mother’s day is May 11th.

Mrs. Stracke, Elementary / Junior High Principal

"There's no word in the language I revere more than 'teacher.' My heart sings when a kid refers to me as his teacher, and it always has. I've honored myself and the entire family of man by becoming a teacher."
--Pat Conroy, Prince of Tides
Every young mind needs a spark to light the way to a brighter future through learning-and teachers are that spark. I encourage you to recognize all of the ways teachers contribute to the lives of children. Teachers, in partnership with parents, truly make a difference. Help celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week May 4-10, 2008-to honor the dedicated men and women that lend their passion and skills to educating our children.

Mr. Young, High School Principal

As we enter into May and close out another yr., I want to thank you the parents for another great yr. at West Holt. While I am sure that you have had a few challenges as we all have, I think that when we have to admit that we have a pretty good school system and great community to raise our kids in. I want to thank each of you for your help with activities, school functions and most of all for entrusting us with your child for the yr. We look forward to next yr. knowing that not only building additions are on the horizon but educational additions as well. Have a great May as we kick off summer.

I would like to thank everyone who helped out in any way with Post Prom Activities, from the food, games, prizes, clean up, decorating or worked the games that evening.  I think that the evening went very well and the kids enjoyed themselves.  If your son or daughter has any comments about the activities, please bring them to the meeting.  Also please encourage your son or daughter to write a thank you to the business or individual who provided the gift that they won.  We are still in need of some help for a concession stand on May 7, please contact Nadine Marcellus if you can help.  Please watch the newspaper and listen to the radio for the date of our next meeting.  Hope to have a great attendance at our meeting, the last meeting we had great attendance.
