The College Fanz Sports Network’s Senior Classic will pit 120 former NAIA football players against one another in a showcase of talent and character. The game kicks off Saturday, April 25th at 1:00 p.m., at Platte County R3 High School’s Pirate Stadium in Platte City, Mo.
The eight former Prairie Wolves will be competing on the “Americans” squad that features players from seven other Great Plains Athletic Conference schools.
“This is an extremely talented group of football players,” said Jason Dannelly, Director of NAIA Relations for the College Fanz Sports Network and founder of the annual showcase. “This is easily the highest concentration of first team, second team and honorable mention All-Americans that we have ever had compete in the showcase event.”
Four of the NWU players will be playing on the offense and four others will be on the defensive side of the ball. This group of seniors was part of a class that finished the last three seasons with a 7-3 record marking the first time NWU football has won seven games in three consecutive seasons since 1991.
