The Special Olympics Torch run stopped
at Atkinson Tuesday, July 13th. Several current and former West Holt students
were on hand. Evan Davis (former WH student) was selected to speak. The
National Competition will be held in Lincoln this summer. Good luck all

West Holt's Dillon Cleary
Scoring at NEN All-Star Game
Dillon sparks Light Team to
victory Friday Night (June 11) at
the Northeast Nebraska Boys All-Star Game held at Northeast Community
College gymnasium. "But it was the inside presence of West Holt's
Dillon Cleary that helped the Lights build a 76-66 lead after three quarters.
Cleary scored 10 or his 12 points after the break, giving the Lights an
80-69 lead with 6:57 left in the game when Lollman found him underneath
for an easy two." Tom Behmer of Norfolk Daily News. The Light team
won the game 91-86.

at State.

All-STAR VOLLEYBALL CLASSIC SET FOR FRIDAY, JUNE 18, AT NORTHEAST
(NORFOLK, Neb.) – The public is again invited to see some of the
best volleyball players in the area at the 2010 Northeast Nebraska All-Star
Volleyball Classic at Northeast Community College in Norfolk on Friday,
June 18, at 7 p.m. in the Cox Activities Center gym.
Cost of the event is $6.00 per adult and $3.00 for students in grades
kindergarten-12. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
Jean Groth, Wisner-Pilger High School, and Kim Hoffer of Howells High
School, will serve as coaches of the Dark Team. Rick Adams of Pierce High
School and LeeAnn Smith of Lyons-Decatur High School will serve as coaches
of the Light Team.
Two Most Valuable Player Awards will be presented.
Members of the Dark Squad and their high schools include:
