Congratulations to the District 9 STAR participants!!!
All brought home gold medals!

Kendra Hicks & Kaitlyn Cutright were District Runner Up in Family Challenges and Issues

Caitlin Cole & Kylie Krieger were also District Runner Up in Applied Technology

Kaitlyn Rossman & Mariah McAllister were District Champions and are off to state for Chapter Showcase

Autumn Lemmer and Kelsey Kubik were District Champions and also off to state for Chapter Service Project

West Holt Model Bridge Builders - there will be a short meeting for model bridge builders right after school in Mr. Hale's room. He will be going over the rules with you. The contest will be held Friday, February 10th.

Members of the Atkinson High School Rodeo Association will be meeting Sunday at 6:00 at the Presbyterian Church. This has been rescheduled from last Sunday.

BB FYI:
-BB Tonight: The girls and boys basketball teams will play O'Neill at home. JV
games will start at 4:45 p.m. JV boys game will be in the junior high gym and JV girls
will be in the main gym. Varsity girls will follow in the main gym around 6:00 p.m.,
followed by
the boy's game.
-Saturday, January 28th: NENAC Tournaments: The girls game will be at home versus
Plainview starting at 8:00 p.m.
-The boys game will be at Crofton versus Elkhorn Valley starting at 4:00 p.m.

From Mr. Thiele's Office:
-South Dakota State University is having their Junior Day this Saturday, January 28th.
-UNK Loper Preview Days will be February 7 and April 24 for Juniors and Seniors.
-Southeast Community College will have their representative here at West Holt on
February 9th.
-The ASVAB Test will be given at West Holt on February 22 and 8 a.m. Juniors &
Seniors who want to take this test, please talk to Mr. Thiele.

When: Next Wed afternoon, FEB 1st (periods 6,7, and first part of 8th)
Where: Lecture Hall
Why: Because testing is a lot of fun for everybody involved, testers and testees

The Atkinson Community Foundation Fund is promoting youth engagement. They are having a meeting on Sunday, January 29th at 4 pm at the Atkinson Library. The meeting is for any interested 9-12th grade student to share their ideas of how youth can "Give Back and Pay it Forward"

Today is Jr. High Boys BB at North Central @ 4:00.
JV & Varsity Girls & Boys BB is here with O'Neill starting at 4:45.
It is Parents Night for the Girls BB players.
St. John's Lutheran Church is hosting a Soup Supper before and during the games.
There is No School on tomorrow!

Saturday is the Speech Meet at Ord @ 8 a.m.
Wrestlers will be at the Plainview Invite at 10 a.m.
And Basketball Conference play begins:
For the Boys - 1st round is at Crofton vs. Elkhorn Valley @ 4 pm.
and for the Girls - 1st round action is here - West Holt vs. Plainview @ 8 p.m.
